DISCIPLINE GAMES INDIVIDUALS 2025

We're thrilled to welcome you to the DISCIPLINE GAMES INDIVIDUAL EVENT.

Here's the essential information you'll need:

Venue: Globox Arena, Claudelands. Cnr of Brooklyn Road and Heaphy Terrace, Hamilton

Parking: There is 2 access to the car park. Gate 1 on Heaphy Terrace and Gate 4 on Brooklyn road. Parking is $5 for the whole day. There is FREE off street parking about a 5 - 10min walk to the venue. Carpool with your team is the most cost effective way to go.. Please don’t leave any valuables in the car. Globox Arena is proud to be an Alcohol & Smokefree venue. PLEASE NO CHILLY BINS WITH ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES! Security will be on watch.

Athlete Female registration: Registration opens at 5.15am at the Globox Arena Main entrance To avoid delays, have all information ready - Name, Division and Gym Affiliate. For those not in the first heat please register at least an hour before your first briefing.

Athlete Male registration: Registration opens at 12:00pm at the Globox Arena Main entrance To avoid delays, have all information ready - Name, Division and Gym Affiliate. For those not in the first heat please register at least an hour before your first briefing.

Athlete Briefing: All athletes will receive a briefing 15 minutes before your event begins in the marshaling area. Punctuality is crucial, as latecomers may miss the briefing. We do not have the capacity to wait as we have to get through each heat accordingly.

There will be no use of stacking of plates and Step ladder stools for the rig event as this is a major health and safety hazard and we want to remove any risk of injury. We will have a step up attached to the rig for you to stand on if needed.

Barbell, plates and Incremental plates: The Barbells used will be your standard crossfit 15kg Barbell for the Females and 20kg Barbell for the Males. Each set up will have a pair of 25kgs, 20kgs, 15kgs, 10kgs, 5kgs and smallest incremental plates used for the lifting portion is 2.5s.

Medical Forms: All Athletes must sign the medical waiver with their Judge on the competition floor before their first event (See below for our medical form for your reference to read )

Medic: The medic is situated on the main floor

Recover me - Mobile Recovery: Will be providing hot and cold plunge pools to aid in your recovery over the weekend as well as Physio strapping and sports massage. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel for the plunge! Book here for early bird pricing!

Food & Coffee: There is Food and Coffee onsite at the Globox arena cafeteria.

The WARM UP AREA: Our Warm up area will be available all day but you are welcome to bring your own gear and warm up in your athletes village area.

Athlete Village Area: The athlete village is indoors level 1 (Up 1 flight of stairs) so bring your picnic mats for the floor and deck chairs no need to bring GAZEBOS unless you want to. You can set up the day before from 1pm onwards. (Parking applies for Friday also)

ATHLETE INJURY and SUBSTITUTES during the event - In the case of an athlete sustaining an injury or being unable to compete on the day, their team will unfortunately be automatically disqualified. It is not permissible to substitute another athlete in their place. However, if a team wishes to continue with a substitute athlete solely for the purpose of completing the day, that is acceptable. It is important to note, though, that the score for the events in which the substitute participates will still be recorded as zero.

Additional Notes:

  • Help keep the venue clean; keep your area nice and tidy

  • Arrive on time to avoid missing a WOD.

  • Be prepared; understand the WOD before you compete. Clear communication with judges is key.

  • If you have concerns about judging, please fill out a disputes form and present video evidence at Registration. (Main entrance)

  • Prizegiving will be 40 minutes after the final wod for Females and the same for the Males in the afternoon in the Athlete Village area.

Things to remember:

  • A water bottle! There will be water stations around the venue to fill up your water if you need.

  • Your own Skipping rope for the lifting event (Novice division we will be supplying the Drag ropes)

COMPLAINTS/DISPUTES - As you know the competition floor can be very competitive at times and our judges are only human.  If you feel like you were misjudged and have video footage to back your complaint, please make your way to rego and fill out a disputes form where they will take your details and one of our lead judges/team members will be in-touch with you.
